Category: classified according to smelting method: (1) open hearth steel, oxygen converter steel (y), electric furnace steel according to smelting furnace, (2) rimmed steel (f), killed steel (z), semi killed steel (b) and special killed steel (TZ) according to deoxidation degree.
The second kind: classified by chemical composition: (1) carbon steel: low carbon steel, carbon content < 0.25%; Medium carbon steel, carbon content < 0.25% ~ 0.6%; Rigid carbon steel, > 0.6%. Carbon structural steel is divided into four quality grades A, B, C and d according to different sulfur content. (2) Alloy steel: according to different content of alloy elements: low alloy steel, total content of alloy elements ≤ 5%; Medium alloy steel, the total content of alloy elements is 5% ~ 10%; High alloy steel, with total content of alloy elements > 10%.
The third kind: classified by quality: (1) ordinary steel s ≤ 0.050%, P ≤ 0.045%; (2) Steel s ≤ 0.035%, P ≤ 0.035%.
